Shabby Chic Altered Canvas

Welcome to another great challenge over at 7 Kids College Fund. This week is embellishments.

So get out you embellishments and create a card or a project. I created an altered canvas. It took me quite awhile to see how I wanted it laid out. I painted the canvas with acrylic paint after it was dry I stenciled the bird cage, the leaves and tree branch and the honey comb design. I used Viva Decor modeling cream after it was dry I used alcohol ink to add color to my design. I stamped the two butterflies and used fran tage on the two other butterflies. The fran tage was used on the tag and inside the picture frame. The ribbon is recycled from a box of candy. To complete my canvas I used bling, flowers, feathers, frilly trim and a wooden bird. The flower in the bottom right I used Viva Decor Inka Gold. The product is great. You get a beautiful color with a little shimmer. I hope I inspired  you today.

Fishing Anyone?

Happy Wednesday Inky Fans,

Today I would like to share a birthday card I made my son. I used the rubber stamp Christopher Fishing. It was perfect since my son's name is Christopher. The challenge this week over at Inky Impressions is distress it. I used Tim Holtz distress ink on the edges of all my paper, the twine looks a little distress and the green jute seemed perfect to finish my design. I colored my image with Copic Marker. You can purchase this cutie over at Inky Impressions Store. I can't wait to see what you create.

Here is a closer look.

Forever Friends For a Child

Happy Monday,

I hope everyone had a great weekend! They are just too short. I started my weekend with a wonderful dinner with my husband for our anniversary. We ate our favorite restaurant. Great coffee and awesome chocolate.  Here is my dessert. Doesn't it look delicious; it was. (Chocolate/Lemon)

Please join us for our last challenge as Forever Friends.  The theme is for a child. I created this chipboard butterfly keepsake. I used Viva Decor Inka Gold; the product is awesome. The product spreads like butter. I used a stencil and spread Viva Decor Modeling Cream. It creates a 3D effect. I colored this sweet image from A Day For Daisies with Copic Markers and used a silver pen to give her dress some shimmer and shine. If you are interested in this image Peacock Magic just click on her name and it takes you directly to the image. To embellish my project I used flowers, ribbon and a die cut butterfly. I hope I have inspired you today.
